TechniDrill Integrates Gundrilling, Milling and Tapping on a Single Machine Base
The TechniDrill Multi-Axis line of machines delivers advanced, CNC-controlled gundrilling solutions engineered to tackle complex hole patterns in demanding components like heat exchangers, manifolds, and molds. Built on a heavy-duty machine base with linear guideway construction, this lineup combines extreme versatility and cost-effective efficiency for modern manufacturing environments.
To accommodate varying job requirements, the product line is divided by capacity and structural design. The 0.75-inch and 1.25-inch capacity models utilize a specialized knee fixture table to drive precise X- and Y-axis movement. For heavier operations, the robust 2-inch capacity machine features a traveling column for horizontal and vertical travel, a rotary fixture table, and an auxiliary CAT 40 spindle that allows operators to perform milling and tapping operations on a single platform.
Every machine in the Multi-Axis lineup is equipped with a high-pressure coolant system capable of handling either oil or water-soluble coolants. Delivering up to 2,500 psi or 160 gallons per minute, this system ensures optimal chip evacuation and tool longevity during deep-hole drilling.
Operational control is streamlined through an embedded PC-based controls package running a Microsoft Windows operating system. This user-friendly interface features a full-color touchscreen display and supports standard CNC G-Code programming for seamless integration into existing shop workflows.
Additionally, TechniDrill offers flexible workpiece handling with multiple custom fixturing configurations and automated part loading options to maximize throughput and minimize setup times.
