Ibarmia's new 5-axis MC designed to machine long tools in a single setup

IBARMIA has launched the ZLS5 70.08 EXTREME -- the new GEN6 generation in long-bed configuration for the press brake tooling sector.

Travels of 7000 mm in X, 800 mm in Y plus 250 mm extra for tool change and 1100 mm in Z, together with a continuous ±115° tilting head, make it possible to machine long tools in a single set-up with full access along the part. This machine is designed to machine long tools in a single setup, ensuring high accuracy and full accessibility along the entire part.

At its core, a high-power electrospindle with HSK A100 interface delivers up to 84 kW, 452 Nm and a 30-12000 rpm speed range, supported by a 134-tool HSK A100 magazine that enables fast tool changes and continuous production. Through-spindle coolant at 70 bar, external coolant at 12 bar and a 2000 l filtration system keep cutting conditions under control in demanding, long machining cycles.

To ensure consistent quality over the full 7000 mm stroke, the ZLS5 70.08 EXTREME features HEIDENHAIN absolute scales on all axes, BLUM laser tool measurement, tool identification and a workpiece probe.

Everything is managed by a SIEMENS SINUMERIK One CNC with 24" touch screen, Digital Twin, teleservice and a three-camera monitoring system, together with a comfort package, screw and hinged-belt chip evacuation and preparation for the customer's magnetic clamping system.
