Wintriss' latest full featured control is easy to use for mechanical power presses

Wintriss Controls Group is introducing the new WPC APEX Clutch/ Brake Control for mechanical power presses.

The WPC APEX is a full featured control with an easy-to-use touch screen display, tool number memory, and four dedicated die protection inputs.

The WPC APEX also features detailed self-diagnostics and has inputs for up to four operator stations and up to four Shadow Light Curtains. The WPC APEX features many additional interlocks including cross-checked pairs and stroke mode specific types, as well as five individual I-stop and E-stop button inputs.

Wintriss is also introducing the new Shadow 10 Light Curtain. The Shadow Light Curtain Series has been a proven safety solution in the industry, withstanding the rigors of pressrooms for nearly 50 years. Its rugged design with an IP65 rated housing to protect from harsh ambient stamping environments and reliable operation are well-reputed among metal forming professionals.

The CSA-certified Shadow 10 control box has inputs for up to 4 transmitter/ receiver pairs. A control box is not necessary if the Shadow 10 is connected to the Wintriss WPC family of controls. Shadow 10 is designed with high levels of redundancy and fault tolerance, meeting the highest safety standards (Category 4) to ensure reliable protection. Shadow 10 has diagnostics LEDs, comprehensive yet easy-to-use blanking, and many other reliability features specifically designed for metal stamping applications.

The WPC APEX Clutch/ Brake Control and the Shadow® 10 Light Curtain will be released at FABTECH in Chicago from September 8-11, 2025.
