Twin Spindle CNC's Automated Gantry Loader Ideal for Unmanned Operation

Muratec's MW400 stands as the largest machine in the company's MW Series. It is purpose-built for the robust cutting of sizable parts.

This automated horizontal lathe is equipped with an integrated robotic gantry loader that blends processing capability in a compact body with front-facing twin spindles, live tooling, and Y-axis. The machine's integrated robotic gantry loader enables unmanned workpiece handling for all-in-one processing of complex shapes from raw to finished parts to maximize efficiency without changeovers or the need for secondary operations.

This unique machine combines the compact body of Muratec's MW series with the processing power of the MT series, expanding and evolving the production possibilities for twin spindle CNC turning centers. The built-in gantry automation is also available with a choice of single or dual gantries (MWR120GT), depending on processing needs.

A key advantage of Muratec's machinery is interconnectivity, allowing each machine to function both independently and in tandem to provide versatile operational capabilities. Muratec's MSR60 single-spindle machine makes its debut at IMTS 2024 and has been engineered to operate seamlessly with the MWR120.

The MW400 features a one-piece cast bed capable of handling large parts up to 16 inches in diameter. Its 40HP spindle, optional live tooling, heavy payload gantry loader, and sturdy column/turret bar construction collectively empower the precision required for turning sizable parts.

Enhanced by the integrated gantry robot loader, it provides unparalleled flexibility, enabling either simultaneous dual-cutting processes or efficient turnaround cutting applications within a single machine.
