FABTECH ready to roll
The FABTECH International & AWS Welding Show, Oct. 6-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, is North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, and welding exposition and conference. The event brings buyers and sellers of metal forming and fabricating technologies together.
Here are some of the products:
Next generation system ensures optimum stability
Mitsubishi Laser has introduced the next generation of its best-selling laser, the LVPLUS. The New LVPLUSII combines several new performance-enhancing features with the productivity features from the original machine.
The LVPLUSII’s new 40CF-R resonator technology reduces rise time/fall time of square wave pulse. This provides a more consistent beam power during the cutting process and delivers a more brilliant and consistent edge quality. Additionally, the uniform low current discharge provides low power stability for improved micro-machining and etching.
The LVPLUSII delivers new Brilliantcut technology, which can produce a cutting surface roughness equivalent to the typical machined finish.
All Mitsubishi Laser equipment is automation-ready, with several high-production options that can transform and expand any laser system for maximum versatility and throughput.

Laser resonator expands range, increases cutting speeds
The most recent addition to Trumpf’s TruFlow series of laser resonators, the TruFlow 7000, has several new innovations that result in rapid cutting speeds that boost quality and efficiency, according to the company.
The 7kW laser expands the range of sheet thicknesses that the machine can cut and increases cut speed. The TruFlow 7000 cuts stainless steel up to 1.188" thick, and aluminum up to 0.8". Cutting speed increases of up to 10 percent can be achieved for stainless steel 0.312, 0.375 and 0.625", and up to 30 percent for 0.75 to 1". In some applications where aluminum is used, cutting speeds may increase up to 10 percent, according to the company.
The highlight of the TruLaser 5030 NEW is the single cutting head strategy, where the same cutting head can be used to process various sheet metal thicknesses. Another feature, integrated collision protection, safely guards the cutting head from damage as the head now folds away during a collision.

Cutting systems has automated load/unload
The Byspeed 3015 from Bystronic is a 4400W high speed laser cutting system equipped with ByTrans automated load/unload. It features the flexible ByVention 3015 laser cutting system, with a new 4400W resonator, patented material flow and simple to operate controls, all within a 20 x 20' footprint.
The Byspeed 3015 uses the XPERT series press brake with dynamic hydraulic crowning and pressure control, thickness detection, and temperature/frame deflection compensation.
It is equipped with Bysoft 6.7 CAD/CAM software with the integrated Bybend module. Bybend provides automatic bend deductions, bend reliefs, bending sequences, and back gauge placements for press brake users. Programs for 2D cutting are automatically generated with correct flat patterns based upon bend criteria.

Web-based press remote access
Using pressport private online network from Greenerd Press & Machine Co. Inc., customers can obtain a real-time status of their press operations by logging in and viewing data via an Ethernet connection over a secure VPN network, and also receive status/alarm notifications on their Internet-enabled device such as a cellular phone, smart phone or PC.
The pressport technology allows manufacturers to respond immediately to any problems with the manufacturing process, saving time and costs.

Draw-bending machine has PLC
Winton Machine introduces its newest rotary draw-bending machine. The RD30eCNC is a three-Axis CNC Rotary Draw Bender, driven by a Programmable Logic Controller. An optional PC interface is offered that enables the user to import a STEP file right from CAD directly to the bender without typing in a single data point.
This capability not only saves time but also can reduce programming errors. Winton's eCNC line of mandrel benders offers to increase productivity, decrease cycle time, and improve quality.
The series consists of 20, 30, and 50mm machines with a tubing range from 1mm OD to 50mm OD. An optional PC interface allows for programming and data storage.
