Cutting-edge waterjet

Capable of producing complex parts out of virtually any material, the Jet Edge High Rail Gantry features a stableT&P overhead design that allows full access to the work envelope and raises critical components out of the process environment. Jet Edge utilizes high-volume, low-pressure air around the ball screws and linear motion guides and bearings, which increases durability by preventing contamination from entering these areas. The High Rail Gantry has a repeatability of 0.002" over the entire work envelope. It is available in 2ft increments from 4x4ft to 24x14ft. Custom sizes are available, and the system can easily be expanded in place as a business grows.

Featuring the most advanced technology for extended-life hydraulics and a reliable tie-rod design, the 50hp iP60-50 is rated for 60,000psi, and provides flow rates of 0 to 1.1 gallons per minute to a variety of cutting, surface-preparation or cleaning tools. The iP60-50 provides easy access for all service and maintenance. It features a non-high-pressure cylinder with a warranty – even on replacement cylinders, an improved performance check valve, and low-torque requirements.

Jet Edge waterjet cutting systems are controlled by the AquaVision Di motion controller. The AquaVision Di guides users through the process from job setup to production and has numerous standard features that are optional on many competitive systems. With the AquaVision Di, single parts, part arrays, mirroring, scaling, rotation, and plate alignment are right at users' fingertips. The AquaVision Di is fully networkable, allowing part programs to be generated offline and easily transferred to the system's hard drive for production. Feedrate and acceleration are automatically varied, based on known features of a specific job. Dynamic tool offset, or "cutter compensation," is employed real-time, and an optional real-time pump control allows remote starting and stopping of the pump, dual pressure set points for hard-to-pierce materials, and unlimited data logging of every process parameter imaginable.

Jet Edge's self-feeding pneumatic drill is available in stationary or laterally adjustable models. The drill gives waterjet operators the opportunity to expand their cutting capabilities and take in new types of work by enabling them to quickly pierce sensitive materials prior to cutting them with waterjet.

The drill features a hydraulic feed control unit, feed stroke adjustment, exhaust collector and PLC interface manifold. A flexible bellows cover is mounted to the front of the drill to protect it from foreign material, with all controls contained internally. The drill has a free running rpm of 3,300 and can be set for any stroke from 5/16" to 3". It is supplied with a 1/4" stainless steel drill chuck. All control valves are contained within a NEMA-rated electrical enclosure.

High-speed, high-velocity adiabatic impact presses for industry

The LMC Impact Press System will dramatically increase quality consistency, increase productivity and cycle times, allow for the reduction of floor space, and allow for reduced maintenance. The presses are designed to maximize energy levels, production rates and flexibility. The mechanical system meets all the conditions for adiabatic softening in most metals to include low and high carbon steels, stainless, bronze, brass, copper, titanium aluminum, and more. Regardless of the metal, the process works the same. This technology will eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional methods in the production of metal blanks.

LMC is introducing their new high volume model in its line of High Velocity Adiabatic Impact Presses. Built to meet the demands of the bearing industry, the SIP Press Series, D Models not only exceed industry standards in ppm production rates, but the patented Hitch Feed System and Oscillating Rotary Arbor Straightener set new standards for length, squareness, end quality, and straightness in regards to TIR tolerances. As with all of the LMC cutoff presses, companies operating the SIP Press Series, D Models find the increased production provides them with a competitive advantage to off-shore bearing manufacturers. This environmentally-friendly press system significantly reduces process-manufacturing costs.T&P

The SIP15D will cut diameters from 0.040" to 0.125" at cycle rates up to 1,000ppm while maintaining length tolerances at ±0.001". The SIP25D will cut to 0.250" at rates up to 500ppm at tolerances of ±0.0015", the SIP50D will cut to 0.500" at rates up to 400ppm at ±0.002", and the SIP100D will cut to 1" at rates up to 225ppm at ±0.0025". Diameters up to 4" can be cut on LMC's other larger press systems. The design of the SIP press series exceeds the demands for reduced material waste, lower energy consumption, and reduced burden costs.

Like all LMC Press Systems, these new presses are not only very operator friendly, but are true "green machines" in that they produce no kerf, use no coolants, and operate on less than 85 percent of the electrical consumption of conventional presses.

The price-competitive PSA Press Series offers fully pneumatic presses that use a pneumatic feed system or servo-control feed for increased part-length flexibility. The PSA Press Series is designed for lower run production. The PSA 35 will cut to 0.375" at cycle rates up to 100ppm while maintaining length tolerances of ±0.007". The PSA 75 will cut to 0.750" at rates up to 75ppm with length tolerances of ±0.010", and the PSA150 will cut to diameters of 1.50" at rates up to 50ppm while maintaining a length tolerance of ±0.015".

Manufacturers can feed, draw, straighten, and cut wire in coil stock in its cold state from virtually any tensile material with the HCU Press Series. The HCU-625 will provide precision cut blanks or full length bars from coils ranging in diameters from 0.250" to 0.625", and the HCU-1250 will provide precision cut blanks or full length bars from coils ranging in diameters from 0.625" to 1.25". Companies can now buy less expensive standard size coil stock, draw it to its specific OD, and then feed the bars directly into a screw machine or CNC Operation.
