Pioneer has released newly engineered SX25M Mini Collet Chucks with optional SX25MB Mini Bearing Nuts. This high-performance combination offers increased stability and repeatability with minimized clearance requirements.
"These products are the direct results of listening to our customers and engineering a solution to their industry demands," said Pioneer Tool Holder Division Vice President, Lee Flick. "Advancing the premium SX line, which already offers twice the accuracy of the ER collet chucks, allows Pioneer to service a broader industry base and makes these tools applicable for a variety of high-precision metal cutting needs."
The SX25M was engineered to extend cutter life, improve finish, reduce secondary operations and improve TIR to .0002 or better at four inches from chuck face versus the ER's .0004 TIR at two inches. With a reduced diameter of 1.97" and a capacity of one inch, it remains interchangeable with existing SX25 collets and wrenches. For optimal stability, the SX25M is also available in a stub design, measuring 1.75 inches from gageline.
The SX25M pairs with the new SX25MB Mini Bearing Nut, which is the first true mini SX style bearing nut on the market. The mini bearing fits all existing SX25 collet chucks and boosts holding power 20 to 30 percent greater than non-bearing SX designs and 60 percent more than the ER40.
